“Typically,
for a disk capacity of less than 2 TB, the price may range from $200 (file
system corruption) to thousand odd dollars (with physical failure). The charge
may be higher if the job complexity increases.”
“Flat-Rate Pricing
Here it is $45/hr., with an
average recovery between 4-8 hours. Get this pricing somewhere else? Not
likely. The truth is that logical recovery is a fairly automated process that
only requires a few minutes per hour attention from a well trained technician.
This means that one technician can handle 4-6 recovery machines at a time. The
key to a successful business like ours is quality, aggressive service-pricing,
and volume. We recover from almost all spinning hard drives, IDE, EIDE, SATA,
SCSI, notebook hard drives, internal and external drives, SD and Compact Flash Drive recoveries,
and just about any types of media that holds data, for a fraction of the price.
Average cost per
recovery: For the
most common recovery type(82%), logical recovery costs are between $90 and $180, plus
media/shipping. cost for data recovery [compare to $950-4500 industry average ]”
“How Much Does Data Recovery Cost?
It’s
impossible to list out what each and every type of data recovery job will
cost. Data recovery prices are heavily dependent on the type of media
needing to be recovered, the file system it uses, whether or not there is any
physical damage that needs to be repaired first and a host of other variables.
You can expect data recovery prices from any reputable
company to start off around $500. Companies that quote you prices of $50,
$99, $199 or $300 can be written off almost immediately. These are usually
companies that charge additional fees, such as diagnostic or attempt fees on
every case they get in, and if your data isn’t recoverable (which it likely
won’t be) then they still pocket the upfront charge. If it seems to good to be
true it probably is. Also, just because a company may have hundreds
of glowing reviews, doesn’t mean those reviews are real, so shop with caution.
“RAID Data Recovery Pricing
RAID data recovery prices will
vary based on several different factors:
Minimum price is
calculated on the number of drives times the minimum price ($350 CAD) for a
single hard drive. For example:
A 3 drive RAID 5 minimum cost is:
$350 x 3 = $1050CAD
A 6 drive RAID 10 minimum cost is: $350 x 6 = $2100CAD
As RAID recoveries can get very
complex, we are unable to post a maximum price.”
“In-Lab Data Recovery
Services are needed when data is lost due to hard drive physical failure.
Without a Seagate Service Plan, recovery fees start at $499 and can easily be
over $2,000 based on your data loss circumstances.”
